Mr. Rafal Rohozinski

Rafal Rohozinski is a senior fellow for Future Conflict and CyberSecurity at the London-based International Institute for Strategic Studies and the CEO and Chief Innovation Officer at SecDev Zeropoint where he leads a talented team of e analysts and technologists developing the next generation of intelligence and cybersecurity solutions.
Prior to founding Secdev, Rafal served as the director of the Advanced Network Research Group at Cambridge University and held Senior Fellowships with the Ford foundation, SSRC, International Development Research Centre (Canada), and Munk School of Global Affairs. Among other things, he led a para-diplomatic engagements with the Russian National Security Council encompassing cyber security, cyber warfare, cyber espionage and counterterrorism, and spent 17 years working in an operational capacity in 37 countries including conflict zones in Eurasia, Middle East, and Africa. His work on tracking the Ghostnet - the first documented Chinese cyber espionage network was featured on the front page of the New York Times.
Rafal sits on the boards of the Canadian International Council, the Canadian Association of Defence and Security Industries, and the UN Counterterrorism Executive Directorate program on Internet and terrorism. Previously he served as the Chair of the advisory boards of the Estonian E-Governance Academy and the Citizen Lab (Munk School of Global Affairs, University of Toronto). Rafal is an active commentator on security issues, and his work has been featured in newspapers, television, and radio shows, including the New York Times, BBC, Globe and Mail, CBC, CNN, Al Jazeera, WIRED, and the Financial Times.
